Nenshi says he’s taking ivermectin – after years of mocking those who did

Alberta NDP Leader Naheed Nenshi is using ivermectin to treat his Morbihan syndrome, a condition that has causes his face to swell to very noticeable levels, and stated that the product he previously described as “horse paste” has helped him.

Nenshi had previously mocked invermectin as anti-science “quakery”, while NDP MLA Janis Irwin previously stated, “Ok Alberta, I hate to have to say this, but please don’t take horse dewormer”. Many Albertans are calling out the NDP leader and his subordinates for their hypocrisy.

Ivermectin targets parasites by paralyzing and killing them: the microbiologist Satoshi Omura and William C. Campbell were awarded the 2015 Nobel Price in Physiology or Medicine for their discovery of ivermectin as a novel therapy against infections.

Many individuals, including high-profile figures, have shared anecdotal personal stories claiming ivermectin (often as part of multi-drug protocols) helped them recover from COVID-19 symptoms quickly or prevented severe illness. Podcaster Joe Rogan reported reported rapid recovery from covid after his multi-treatment approach, which included ivermectin. Others have argued the drug was unfairly attacked to protect vaccine profits or control narratives, pointing to its low cost/safety profile when used appropriately.
